Easter at Iona West

Iona West experienced a wonderful Easter weekend as we remembered the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus.

A small group gathered on Maundy Thursday evening for a Tenebrae-style service of prayer, scripture readings and extinguishing candles.

Our Good Friday service was led by Rev. Peter Aay, who then went on to lead worship at Blue Care Homefield later in the morning.

Rev. Jim Brown preached on Easter Sunday morning, with Judith Brown playing piano for some rousing hymns of praise. And we were delighted to welcome several visitors to worship on Sunday night, with Rev. Wayne McHugh preaching. We are immensely grateful for all the support from Northside and St Paul’s congregations during this time without a minister in placement at Iona West.
