Christingle Service
Light and Hope
On the second Sunday in Advent folk gathered at Longreach and Barcaldine as Rev Jenny Coombes led us in an intergenerational Christingle Service. In scripture, prayer, singing, in the telling and listening of the story of the symbol of the Christingle, we were reminded of the light and hope that Jesus brings into the world through his birth, death and resurrection.
We were reminded that we just as we gather from north, south, east, and west, we are called to go into the world as witnesses in the faith.
